Every report is prepared by a consultant psychiatrist and tailored to the referral, based on a comprehensive psychiatric assessment and a review of the medical records and supporting documents provided. We prepare reports for:
- Personal injury and civil litigation.
- Criminal proceedings and court-directed assessments.
- Capacity and mental capacity assessments.
- Fitness for work, occupational health and employment or workplace matters.
- Insurance claims.
- Psychiatric expert witness reports and independent psychiatric opinions.
Referrals come from solicitors, barristers, insurers, employers, courts and other organisations. Assessments are available remotely by secure video anywhere in the Republic of Ireland.

A 60-minute initial psychiatric assessment at a fixed fee, then report writing at an hourly rate. Typical preparation time is three to four hours, so the estimated writing fee is €900 to €1,200 and the total is usually €1,350 to €1,650.

Psychiatric assessment
60 minutes · €450 · Secure video
A comprehensive psychiatric assessment of the client by the consultant psychiatrist, with the records reviewed beforehand. Remote assessments are available nationally.
Report within 7 days
€300 per hour · Typically 3 to 4 hours
A clear, balanced and independent expert opinion addressing the questions in the letter of instruction, completed within seven days of the assessment and sent to the referring party.
The hourly fee covers reviewing records and documentation, conducting further assessment where required, preparing the report and liaising with legal representatives or other professionals. Supplementary reports, conferences and court attendance are charged at the same hourly rate unless otherwise agreed.
Independent, impartial, on time.
All reports are prepared independently and in accordance with current medical, ethical and legal standards. The opinion is objective and evidence-based, written for its intended purpose in plain language, and suitable for use in legal, insurance, employment and other formal proceedings.
Reports are prepared by Dr Shaeraine Raaj, Consultant Psychiatrist, registered with the Irish Medical Council (Specialist Division) and a member of the College of Psychiatrists of Ireland and the Royal College of Psychiatrists, with more than twelve years in Irish psychiatry including the National Forensic Mental Health Service.

Where an assessment identifies a treatable condition, the client can be seen clinically by the same team: follow-up reviews with Dr Raaj at €150 for 20 minutes or €200 for 30 minutes, repeat prescriptions for €40, and psychological therapy or counselling, all online.

A 45 to 60 minute consultant assessment for anxiety, depression, OCD, PTSD, bipolar and mood disorders, with diagnosis, treatment plan and GP report. €450.
