Practical strategies for everyday life
New at Mindbridge Medical
Our 6-week CBT group for ADHD is designed to help you develop practical skills and lasting strategies that can support you in everyday life.
Led by Dr. Matthew MacGillivray, Clinical Psychologist, the group provides a supportive and structured space to understand ADHD-related challenges, learn practical tools, and put those tools into practice from week to week.
The programme takes place online via Zoom and is limited to 8β12 participants, allowing for a focused group experience.
Online Materials: Session handouts and supporting materials will be provided online for each session.
What will we cover?
Across six weekly sessions, we will focus on practical areas that can make a meaningful difference to day-to-day life with ADHD.
Week 1 β Introduction & Time Management
We begin by developing an understanding of ADHD and taking an honest look at where your time really goes.
The session focuses on building awareness around time management and identifying practical ways to work with your time more effectively.
Week 2 β Breaking Tasks Down
Overwhelming tasks can be difficult to start.
This session focuses on turning larger or overwhelming tasks into smaller, manageable steps that feel easier to begin. We will also explore developing a kinder inner voice when things do not go to plan.
Week 3 β Prioritising & Activation
Knowing what matters most is one thing β getting started is another.
We will look at how to identify your priorities and use practical strategies to help you move from intention to action.
Week 4 β Organisation Skills
This week focuses on building simple systems that can help do the remembering for you.
The aim is to develop practical organisational strategies that reduce the need to rely solely on memory and make everyday tasks easier to manage.
Week 5 β Project Planning & ADHD at Work
Larger projects can feel particularly difficult to organise and begin.
We will look at planning bigger projects and applying the skills from the programme to the workplace.
Week 6 β Maintenance & Review
The final session focuses on keeping your progress going.
We will review the strategies developed throughout the programme and look ahead to how you can continue using these skills in the weeks that follow..

Who is this group for?
This programme is designed specifically around ADHD and the practical challenges that can come with managing everyday life, including time management, getting started on tasks, organisation, prioritisation and planning.
The group is structured around learning practical strategies and applying them across the six weeks.
A practical six-week programme
Rather than trying to change everything at once, the programme takes you through one area at a time, from understanding ADHD and managing time, through breaking down tasks, prioritising, organisation and project planning, before finishing with a review and plan for maintaining your progress.
Six weeks. Practical skills. Strategies you can continue using beyond the group.
