Autism for Adults
Our adult autism service is designed to provide thoughtful, high-quality assessment and support.
Adult Autism Assessment Wherever You Are
Autism is a neurodevelopmental difference that affects how a person experiences communication, social interaction, sensory processing, routines, and change. In adults, autism can present in very different ways, and many people reach adulthood without a formal assessment, particularly if they have learned to mask or adapt their difficulties over time. Worldwide, the World Health Organization estimates that about 1 in 127 people were autistic in 2021.
For many adults, autism may affect daily life across relationships, education, work, emotional wellbeing, and self-understanding. Some people seek assessment because they have long felt different, misunderstood, or exhausted by the effort of coping socially or managing sensory demands, while others are referred after long-standing anxiety, low mood, burnout, or overlapping neurodevelopmental concerns are recognised more clearly.
Your Autism Assessment Journey
Our adult autism assessment is completed over three stages and is designed to provide a thorough, structured, and clinically informed evaluation.
Stage 1 – Clinical Interview with Client (2 hours)
Focused on developmental history, current presentation, and functional impact. This stage includes mood screening using the Beck Anxiety Inventory, the Beck Hopelessness Scale, the Beck Depression Inventory, the Ritvo Autism Asperger Diagnostic Scale - Revised and administration of the Social Responsiveness Scale.
Stage 2 – Collateral History (1 hour)
A 1-hour collateral appointment with next of kin, or another person who knows the client well, using the Autism Diagnostic Interview–Revised. The Autism Diagnostic Interview–Revised is a structured caregiver interview used to gather detailed developmental and behavioural information relevant to autism assessment.
Stage 3 – Feedback and Recommendations (1 hour)
A 1-hour feedback session in which findings are discussed in detail, recommendations are provided, and next steps are outlined in a clear and supportive way.
Format and fee
The total fee is 1,550 euro, which includes all three appointment stages, representing 4 hours of direct clinical time, as well as detailed analysis of results, preparation, and completion of the final report.
